English-English Translation Part 2

Upon completing my internship in South Africa I flew to Brisbane, Australia for two and a half weeks to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins who live here and explore the city. So far its been a pretty relaxing vacation and I have encountered some more interesting English words prompting me to make a part 2 of my English-English translation.

Cupper - a cup of tea, pretty obvious once explained but when my uncle offered me a "cupper" I was pretty confused.

Capsicum - what we call green/red/yellow pepper in Canada.

Pumpkin - butternut squash, apparently they don't have what we call a pumpkin in Canada.

Docket - receipt

Mate - friend/you there/person, this is a pretty well known one I think but people really do use it all the time, from the bus driver to my relatives, we're all mates

Footie - rugby, but only the "lower class" rugby league. The "upper class" rugby union is called rugby, yeah there's two types of rugby - I didn't know that either.

Bogan - a hillbilly/hick/lower class person. Pejorative. I saw some at the footie game I went to.
